I called Long Beach home...for 6 years. I moved there to finish my undergraduate studies and lived there for several years after graduation. It is one of the most diverse areas of Los Angeles and I often found myself photographing people on the streets around where I lived. Making street portraits in Long Beach was a great way to learn about the city but often it was just a nice way to unwind and meet people by grabbing my camera and going for a walk.
