Camp 4

Camp 4 is a historic site in Yosemite Valley considered to be the birthplace of modern rock climbing. Post World War II the camp became a magnet for the best climbers from all over the world during the "golden age" of climbing. To this day it remains an international destination where climbers of all types, skill levels and nationalities congregate. The photos in this series are a sampling of climbers that I have met during numerous stays at Camp 4. Some come to climb famous boulders while others plan multi-pitch routes on El Capitan that often take days to ascend.
